China, and the dark side of the moon

2019 is the beginning of a new “race to the moon.” China made history after they achieved the first landing of a space probe on the side of the Moon facing away from Earth. And now a handful of other countries are hurrying to establish their own presence there. But even their stated reasons for this ambitious goal don’t make sense. What could be the real reason?
