Vietnam: Village Life

This video is the second in a series depicting the daily, living practices of a small, rural village called, “Vũng Liêm” in the Mekong Delta of Vietnam. Dr. Barbara Poremba tours the village, visiting the inhabitants and assessing their health care needs.

Joining her is nursing, honors student Nu Vo, who is returning to her home for the first time in seven years. In this sequel, we visit a young, polio victim, a child with birth defects and several, elderly residents of this close-knit village community. The footage was shot back in 1999. Certainly, much has changed since that time!
