Q&A #76 Wearing Your Watch Through Airport Security? The Fate of Limited Editions in Sports?
New Grey Market Episode: "My Plan to CRUSH $130 Million in Sales in 2024"
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pQt6ipa2N4M --~--
Falling victim to the watch bug results in more than one consequence. The spell begins with a mere appreciation but morphs into a fixation to acquire. Once in our possession, more concerns surface such as: watch maintenance, damage and theft prevention, overcoming reluctance to wearing luxury wrist watches in public, as well as traveling and navigating airport security and going through metal detectors and scanners confidently. Some wonder if it's worth taking these horological beauties out of the house at all and I'll address my thoughts on all of that today, in Episode 76 of Q&A Tuesday.

Other topics that I'll be discussing include rising prices of Audemars Piguet watches, my thoughts on the Millenary collection, as well as the fate of limited editions in sports marketing and advertising, and how ambassadors and elite athletes encourage brand awareness and generate sales.

Stay tuned to hear my answers to the following questions:
⚙️ Has AP shot itself in the foot by increasing prices twice this year?
⚙️ Can you do a review of the 4101 Millenary?
Check out an in-depth review of the 4101 in a previous episode here:

⚙️ Do you check if the watches you buy/sell are stolen? Paul Thorpe is making a move to get everyone working together against watch theft by checking numbers with the watch registers. Is this something you would support?

⚙️ I just recently bought a Rolex 114060 and I'll be traveling soon. Do you take your watches off and put them through the scanner with your stuff or do you wear it when you walk through the scanner? I hate the idea of taking off my expensive watch and putting it in the bin. What do you do?
⚙️ If Mark Spitz had a Limited Edition AP Royal Oak made for him in the late 70s, how would that fair today?
💕 BIG THANKS to DK, Mike, Pim, Mark and Kiki for their questions and comments!
