LaVoy Finicum: Was the Shooting Justified?

In January 2016, a remote stretch of highway in Oregon became the site of a confrontation that still raises questions today. LaVoy Finicum, a central figure in the Malheur Wildlife Refuge occupation, was stopped by federal and state law enforcement during an attempt to travel outside the area.
The encounter ended in a fatal shooting captured from multiple angles, including aerial surveillance. Officials stated that Finicum reached for a weapon, while others have questioned the sequence of events and the decisions made in those final moments. The footage and reports have been analyzed repeatedly, yet key questions continue to remain.
