Week of Meals for a Family of 8 | Family Dinners, Meal Ideas | Shamsa

Welcome to my latest video, where I share a week of meals that our family enjoyed!

Spicy Peri Peri Rice Ingredients:
- 500g Basmati Rice (soaked for at least 30 minutes)
- 1 Onion & 1 Bell Pepper (chopped)
- 2 tablespoons Sunflower Oil
- 1 tspn each Salt, Paprika, Cumin Powder, Turmeric Powder
- 2 tablespoons Peri Peri sauce (adjust depending on how spicy you want your rice)
- 1 tablespoon Tomato Puree or Ketchup

Method: Heat the oil in a pan on medium heat. Add the chopped onion and pepper and saute. Add the spices and salt, add the rinsed and drained rice, peri peri sauce and ketchup and stir until well combined. Add 1 litre hot, boiled water and stir. Turn heat to high, bring to boil, then turn to lowest heat, cover with pan lid and cook for 10 minutes. For best results, allow rice to rest for 10 minutes before serving.
