Husky Helps Make BIRTHDAY PUPCAKES! (And taste tests every ingredient first!)

Skaya helped me make some delicious birthday pupcakes! She loved these yummy dog cupakes so much that I had to make an extra batch even after her birthday was over!

As you all may know by now, Skaya recently turned 2 years old on July 9th! For her birthday, I absolutely wanted to make her something homemade and special… and these pupcakes were the perfect solution! 🧁🎉

This recipe is relatively easy to make, and not only are these dog cake treats delicious, but they also contain very healthy ingredients! (Of course, since these are treats, only feed them as such; remember that they are not a balanced meal on their own.) The great thing about this recipe is that you can actually bake the batter in a cake pan and make a large cake instead of pupcakes!

Skaya absolutely loved these pupcakes, and if a picky husky like her likes them, you just know they’ve got to be good!

P.S.: I meant to release this recipe video then, but we got so overwhelmed with all the birthday celebrations that it had to be put off. But better late than never!

RECIPE:

1 cup of oat flour
1 tsp. baking powder
⅛ cup of coconut oil (melted)
¼ cup of all-natural peanut butter (NO xylitol!)
½ cup of puréed pumpkin (sugar-free, not pumpkin pie mix)
½ cup of carrots (grated)
2 whole eggs
2 Tbsp. real honey (optional)

Bake for 20-25 minutes in a 350°F/180°C and there you go!

For the FROSTING (optional):
(I made a double recipe in the video to make sure I had enough!)

1 × 8 oz/226g package of cream cheese (room temperature)
¼ cup of plain Greek yogurt
1 Tbsp. real honey
