How to Create the Watercolor Paper Pendant, Part 1 by Ross Barbera

Visit http://www.watercolorjewelry.com to learn more about my watercolor paintings and jewelry creations.

Having made the first watercolor paper pendant years ago, I recently decided it was time to produce a new one that reflects the changes and improvements to the process that I have developed over the years. I first began experimenting with watercolor paper pendants during the early 1980s as my jewelry transitioned from metal to more nontraditional materials that included paper. In this video I demonstrate my most recent method for creating the watercolor paper pendant, and this video answers many of the questions that I have received over the years regarding the pendants construction. 140lb watercolor paper, watercolor paint, and glue remain the primary materials that are used, and the pendant still floats beautifully on its jewelry hanging cord.

In this two part video series I present in the detailed and clear teaching style that you have come to associate with my videos, step by step instructions on how to build a beautiful watercolor paper pendant. In an effort not to make the video too long, I provide instructions under separate video titles for preparing the watercolor painting that will be used for the top layer of the pendant, and an additional video on creating the clasp.
