Mike Henry Quits Cleveland - My Thoughts

Hello,

This video is a rant on not only Mike Henry stepping down from voicing Cleveland Brown, but on all the mechanisms that drive this sort of behavior: Cancel culture, woke culture, and political correctness.

This video marks a slight departure from the standard fare some of you may be accustomed to here. I'm not trying to make my channel a political commentary channel now or anything like that, however I will be uploading more rant/opinion videos going forward.

As someone who creates art and respects others involved in the realm of creative things, I will never ally myself with the side that cancels, censors, revises, and otherwise neuters art in the name of espousing a specific agenda or sociopolitical ideology.

I'm NOT saying that art should NEVER contain minorities or "oppressed" groups. What I AM saying is that when they are included, these characteristics shouldn't play a distracting, centralized role in the narrative unless that's what the movie/game/show is explicitly about. I totally accept that there is a fine line with this, however I think that we can all tell when something feels forced or contrived. It has a certain ring to it that I can't fully articulate here.
