📌 Wander Details: Welcome to Part 2 of my hike… at this point on my hike to Devil’s Kettle Falls in Judge C. R. Magney State Park, I paused to take in the sheer beauty of the Lake Superior Hiking Trail. Standing in a calm stretch of the Brule River, I reflected on how far life has brought me. There were times when I could hardly leave the house, when I longed for peaceful places like this, hidden forest trails, tranquil waterfalls, and quiet moments where the world felt still. To now be here… walking freely in northern Minnesota on one of the best hikes near Lake Superior, feels like a gift I’ll never take for granted.

In that moment of reflection, I felt deeply grateful. Life as a wanderer, constantly on the road and in the wild, comes with many challenges, but standing in front of one of Minnesota’s most fascinating natural wonders makes it all worthwhile. The sunlight streaming through the trees, the sound of the falls disappearing into the mystery of Devil’s Kettle, and the calm of the forest… It’s everything I once dreamed of.
After some quiet time to breathe it all in, I turned back along the trail and eventually rejoined the three girls. We said farewell to this remarkable spot, carrying home the memory of an afternoon spent in one of the top hiking destinations in northern Minnesota, a place that proves there’s always a way forward, one step at a time.

Easy:
Oberg Mountain Loop (2–3 miles) A short, family-friendly loop near Lutsen with sweeping views of Lake Superior and the Sawtooth Mountains. Especially stunning in autumn when the forest explodes with color. (What3Words) - bongo.vaccine.user
