How to Pit a Cherry with a Paper Clip

This is a brief demonstration on how to remove the pit from a cherry using only a paper clip.

This technique is the neatest / cleanest / most surgical way to de-pit a cherry, so if you plan to use them whole or can them whole they will look attractive instead of getting torn apart the way a cherry pitter or other techniques tend to do it. The paper clip puts a small hole in only one side of the cherry.

Also, because it uses only a paper clip, you can have all of your family or friends help you de-pit all the cherries without having to buy anything. That makes things go a lot faster!
