Fishing the Destin West Jetty - A Dangerous Place to Fish. On this afternoon I decided to go to the less fished jetty of Destin’s pass. This jetty is much longer and way harder to reach than the east jetty which is the one most people fish. There is no path or walkway on this jetty it’s just a couple hundred yards of huge boulders. It took me an hour to walk from the parking lot to the tip of the jetty. Unfortunately it was not an epic day fishing. I caught a ton of hard tails and 3spanish mackerel. But I’m a believer in keeping it real and not every fishing trip results in a lot of fish or trophy fish, those days need to be seen too! I did have fun in the adventure of the trip out there itself and it’s always fun catching anything. Next trip out there I will be better prepared and will expect better results. So I’ll keep trying new spots and filling you guys in. Till then Tight Lines!
