Place de Catalogne, Paris. Rond Point a Velos

Un tour du rond point de Catalogne, ou on vient d'installer un nouveau style ou les voies a l'exterieures sont uniquement pour les bicyclettes, et on peut pedaler dans les deux sens.

One lap around the new roundabout at Place de Catalogne, where they've put in a new style of bike-friendly infrastructure. The cars go around the inside, and there's an outer ring for bikes. Unusually, the bikes can go both ways, so you don't HAVE to go all the way around. This unusual factor has been controversial, as cars aren't used to needing to look right when the enter a roundabout.

Of course, there's also controversy in general in Paris, around the mayor's push to increase bike lanes, while reducing parking and lanes for cars. Car owners, taxis, and suburban folks tend to dislike it, but city-dwellers soundly re-elected the mayor in 2020.
