DOG

During this night footage, you can see a mountain lion approaching a house and a dog jumping at the cougar. The only problem for the dog is it’s not a house cat. The two battle it out, but it’s not long before the mountain lion has the dog by the throat and is choking it. The dog tries desperately to escape, but it can’t. Suddenly, the mountain lion gets up as if it hears a noise and scrams, leaving the dog behind. I guess the owner of the house heard the noise and rattled the cat. The good news is the dog looks alive and fine. I’m sure it withstood some injuries, but nothing to prevent it from walking around.

This guy was hiking with his Labrador when they came across a cougar. You can see the cougar hissing and puffing and the dog staring and barking at it, although it wouldn’t stand a chance against the cat. The man yells like a madman to scare the cat away, but it doesn’t work. The cat is afraid, but it remains there. The man even tries growling like a bear, but the cat doesn’t flinch. This cougar does not seem to be full-grown. I might be wrong, but that’s the impression I get. As the man and the dog retreat, the cat advances. What’s scary about cats is they can leap up in the air to attack you, so if I was this guy, I would kind of slowly walk away, always looking at the cat. These dogs threaten this mountain lion, and they don’t back down one second even though this cat is dangerous.

The dogs bark at the feline as it retreats onto the grass. This pet puma got out and spent eight minutes terrorizing a family's dog in their back yard. Before being tranquilized, the animal wandered through the garden and clamped its teeth around this poor vulnerable little puppy for eight minutes. The puma was supposed to be the pet of a local oligarch who lives in a nearby luxury housing development where many celebrities live, according to village residents. During the early morning attack, the male cat fled and terrified residents. It stayed in this man's garden for an hour and a half, frightening his dogs and choking one of them until emergency personnel shot it with a tranquilizer.

Guanaco

Camel-like guanacos are linked to graceful guanacos. They inhabit the dry, open country in the mountains or on the plains of South America. People began to domesticate guanacos for use as pack animals because of their placid demeanor. The outcome is today's llama, which is a domesticated variant of the guanaco—they don't exist in the wild. Pumas are natural predators of guanaco. When threatened, they make a high-pitched bleating sound that sounds like a brief, sharp laugh, which alerts the remainder of the herd. Guanacos are three times the size of a female puma and stand two meters tall. Will this mother be able to feed her cubs as they grow?

The guanaco is a piece of work. It keeps running and knocking over the puma, but the puma doesn’t quit, and her cubs try to help, but they’re just too small and don’t have the skills to bring down such large prey. To make matters worse, the mother is badly injured. Her wounds are severe and will take weeks to heal properly. But without food, her cubs won’t survive for long. This puma hunts down a young guanaco and fiddles with it before letting it go again. It sort of toys with the young animal, letting it escape and catching up to it, afterward. It repeats the process over and over again. I feel bad for the young guanaco, but I guess the puma has a reason for doing this.

It’s as if the puma knows the prey cannot escape its grasp so it’s taking its sweet time. After killing this young guanaco, this puma drags its kill to a safer area to consume it. It’s not easy even if the guanaco is young because it weighs quite a bit, so the puma must take breaks in between. This puma stalks a guanaco at night and achieves its first successful kill on its own and victory is sweet. Blocked by the fence, the guanaco has no possible chance of escape.
