What is Jebaited? The Story Behind Twitch's Most Jubilant Emote

Long have you waited.
Now... we Jebaited.

No matter what game you play, you’ve seen a bait. You’ve seen one player outmaneuver or trick another with a strategy they didn’t seem coming. Twitch users have a simple word for the feeling of euphoria you get after you successfully make your friend, or opponent, look like a giant idiot: Jebaited.

The face itself belongs to fighting game tournament organizer Alex Jebailey, who runs DreamHack’s fighting game events and founded the CEO tournament series. And this is the bizarre sequence of events that led to his face being the Twitch communities icon for top tier trickery.
