GERUNDS vs. INFINITIVES | VERBS & RULES | CHANGE IN MEANING | English Grammar |All American English
Hello everyone! This video will help you determine when to use gerunds and infinitives when they follow the main verb in a sentence. This is one of the main problems that students have when they are deciding which one of these to use in this situation. You'll see how some verbs only take gerunds, and how some verbs only take infinitives. And you'll also see how some verbs take both with very little, or no change in the sentence's meaning, while other verbs take both, but with a change in the meaning of the sentence. How do you know which verbs take which? Well, you just have to remember the verbs, and I know it's difficult. I've included verb lists to help you, so just sit back and watch the video. The more you're familiar with the verbs, the easier it will be for you.
Good luck and keep practicing!
