Mousing Around Renters

The plaintiff moved into the defendant’s house during her pregnancy, only to discover there was a mouse problem the defendant refused to do anything about. She moved out soon after, but the defendant refuses to return her security deposit, so she’s suing. The defendant says there weren’t any mouse issues, the plaintiff just wanted to get out of her lease. He believes that the damages and late notice entitle him to keep the security deposit.
