Today, Amy walks us through the story of The Dating Game Serial Killer, Rodney Alcala. When Rodney was a contestant on the popular dating game show in 1978, he was already in the midst of a killing spree so vast that he has been compared to Ted Bundy. During the 1970s, this smooth-talking killer would convince the police, the courts, and even his parole officer that he should be a free man, which led to countless rapes and murders of women. After appearing and winning on The Dating Game in 1978, the bachelorette found him so creepy that she cancelled the date, leading Rodney to kill even more women. After many overturned convictions, he was finally convicted in 2010. Over the course of his crime spree, he has been connected to some of the most famous killers of all time, including the Torso Killer, the Hillside Strangler, the Golden State Killer, the Black Dahlia's killer, and Charles Manson.
