Futa Jallon - The Fulani Kingdom Of West Africa (1725–1896)
The Futa Jallon was a grand kingdom in West Africa from the 1700s-1900s. The Fulani Ethnic Group as well as other ethnic African groups, Arab ethnic groups, and worldly ethnic groups, flourished in this Muslim kingdom. At its height, the kingdom was a very scholarly, sophisticated, medical, astronomy, ethical society. The Imam (King or Ruler) Ruled with ultimate power over the kingdom, which consisted of 9 states.
