Long Range Freedom With TBS CROSSFIRE : 8.5 km Out : 18.7 km Round Trip Long Range FPV

Here's a great real world example of the long range freedom you can enjoy using TBS CROSSFIRE for long range fpv. When I stopped to do this flight it was a spur of the moment decision, so I hadn't checked out the route on google maps like I usually do. It turned out to be way further than I had thought. So I pushed it as far as my 5200 mah li-ion battery setup would let me go. I make it to 8.5 km away just as I turn around near the glacier and do a round trip of 18.7 km.

I'm using the TBS CROSSFIRE micro Tx (original version) running at 250 mw with a taranis X9D transmitter and the TBS diamond antenna. I would assume with TBS's great reliability and consistency that similar results would be achieved using any CROSSFIRE Tx module at 250 mw.

BTW - I'm using the diversity nano Rx with 1 vertical and 1 horizontal antenna. As well there is little to no RF interference at this location. Your results will vary depending on the amount of RF interference at your location as well as several other factors.
