MAKING MUM A FIDGET BLANKET | Connecting Caregiver Tips

Connecting is a series of tips for caregivers caring for people with dementia.

People with dementia tend to get restless and fidget due to anxiety or boredom. Danny noticed his mother constantly fiddling with her hands, and put together a fidget cushion – to help keep her engaged. For less than $10, Danny shows us how simple, everyday items can make a comforting and stimulating tool for your loved one.

DANNY RAVEN TAN, 49

Danny Tan is an independent artist. In 2016, his mother Thian Chin Ngoh was diagnosed with dementia. He draws inspiration for his work from his caregiving experiences. He is most recently involved in the campaign, Enabling Asia which seeks to enable people with dementia to live a life with dignity and grace.
