Alphabet Soup: All Alpha (Google), No Bets?

Google's name change to Alphabet cannot take away from the reality that the company is still an online advertising company, though its offerings have broadened from just a search engine to Gmail, YouTube and Android. In valuing Alphabet, I will assume that any restrictions or regulations from the Facebook data privacy scandal will affect Google's revenue growth more than its operating margins and value the company at about $969, tantalizingly close to the $1030 that it was trading at, at the time of the analysis. I also explain I will be inclined to buy the stock if the stock price drops even marginally below the price.
