Skyrim Valdr Glitch - Kinda Alive

This whole mess started when he spawned inside a tree instead of on the log where he's supposed to. I couldn't get into the tree with baskets or anything, so I decided to bucket-fly up to the top of the tree to see if it was solid or if I could fall in to help him. I got a really good fly so I was going really fast, and I had gone past the tree before I even fully realized. I used the full Slow Time shout so that it would be easier to fall precisely on top of the tree, and just after I fell off my bucket, I saved my game. Despite using the shout, I still missed the top of the tree, so I was about to try again when I looked at him and realized he had died. I got closer to take his stuff, and that was when I realized he was still alive, just in a death pose. From there, I gave him a potion of healing and told him I would help him clear the cave, and so here we are, with a somewhat dead Valdr.
