The Tashkent Declaration was a peace agreement signed between India and Pakistan on January 10, 1966, to end the 1965 India-Pakistan war. The agreement was brokered by the Prime Minister of the Soviet Union, Alexei Kosygin. It was signed by Indian Prime Minister Lal Bahadur Shastri and Pakistani President Ayub Khan.

Ceasefire:
A formal declaration of ceasefire between India and Pakistan.

Non-interference in Internal Affairs:
Both countries agreed not to interfere in each other’s internal matters.

Peaceful Relations:

ताशकंद समझौता (Tashkent Declaration) भारत और पाकिस्तान के बीच 10 जनवरी 1966 को हुआ एक शांति समझौता था. यह समझौता 1965 के भारत-पाकिस्तान युद्ध को समाप्त करने के लिए किया गया था, जिसकी मध्यस्थता सोवियत संघ के प्रधानमंत्री अलेक्सी कोसिगिन ने की थी. समझौते पर भारत के प्रधानमंत्री लाल बहादुर शास्त्री और पाकिस्तान के राष्ट्रपति अयूब खान ने हस्ताक्षर किए थे.
समझौते की मुख्य बातें:
युद्ध विराम:
समझौते में भारत और पाकिस्तान के बीच युद्ध विराम की घोषणा की गई थी.

शरणार्थियों की समस्या:
शरणार्थियों की समस्या पर चर्चा करने और इसे हल करने के लिए एक संयुक्त समिति बनाने का भी निर्णय लिया गया था.
