Ashrak Kodak is a natural dancer. He began his career with the Quameya Folk group and has become one of the most sought after Nubian dancers in Cairo. He had directed the Nubian folklore shows for such stars as Gawaheer and Nowaam as well as staring in their music videos. A versatile performer, Ashraf is a master of many styles: Saidi, Lebanese, Alexandrian, Hip Hop, and Break Dancing. He has headed the folklore group for Leila Farid for the last seven years and has been director of his own extremely successful Nubian group in Cairo. For the last 6 years Ashraf has also worked as a soloist for the National Dance group in the Cairo Opera with choreographer Karim . His ability to cross and fuse folklore, classic and street dance makes him a unique performer and teacher.
