ASX 200 faces ‘mixed bag’ while gold stands out on Monday
Sky News Business Reporter Edward Boyd discusses the “mixed bag” on the markets today.
“The gold sector was really the big performer ... energy stocks and property REITs were sold off pretty sharply,” Mr Boyd said.
“The market started in the red, fought back to be flat by midday, but then a range of Chinese economic data was released and that caused investors to sell.”
The ASX 200 finished down 0.58 per cent on Monday.
