Rant (skip if you don't care for opinions):
SO. MANY. FEELS!!!
This finale killed me... I loved it, but hated it at the same time. It was so beautifully done and emotional. It made me smile and cry at the same time. It made me yell at the screen in rage. I finished that episode with so many tears and I ended up crying myself to sleep! Half from all the feels, the other half from the fact that it was the last episode. EVER. I think the reveal was perfect. It was exactly how I wanted it to go—except for the death part. I mean, Merlin actually told Arthur, and Arthur's reaction was actually believable! I was afraid they would have rushed the reveal and not having it to it's full potential, but BBC surprised me. They actually did a wonderful job, but it took away from other things. Like no Merlin/Morgana duel. I really wanted that! Well, I want a lot of things that do with Mergana *coughkisscough* but the writers chose not to explore that territory. :/ At least we got "I blame myself for what you became." It's better than nothing! Don't worry Mergana fans, I plan to make a vid with my OTP soon enough! But, why did they kill off all these wonderful characters? I figured Mordred, Morgana, and Arthur would die, no matter how much I denied it, but still! I wasn't prepared! It would be nice if they had another season (but this finale doesn't exist) and they had an entire season of Merlin's secret out. They could have had a Morgana redemption, more Merthur, no Merlin sitting around for a thousand years... By the way, WHAT THE HECK WAS UP WITH THAT?? It looks like Modern!AUs became cannon... O.o That truck nearly gave me a heart attack! NOT COOL, BBC, NOT COOL. Don't get me wrong, I love those fanfics, but it would be better if it was young Merlin. And I actually wouldn't mind if they had him walk into a coffee shop or something and seeing Arthur. At least we would've know that all that waiting that Merlin did wasn't so he could walk past that bloody freaking depressing island... -_- I also wish that they showed more of Camelot after Arthur's death. Or have Arthur not die at all. This is why we need another season, BBC! Or a movie (using the same cast!)
