Incredible Lightning show from Supercell over Calgary, AB

On August 22, 2022, an unseasonably warm but slow moving system set up over southwestern Alberta. The combination of a very warm, humid air mass with strong surface winds and reasonable vertical shear produced late evening thunderstorms that would become severe and damaging. At around 10:30, a dominant supercell emerged in front of a linear storm system and brought with it very strong, damaging winds, flooding rain, and almost nonstop lightning.
