NASA’s First Commercial Crew Astronauts
NASA announced the astronauts assigned to crew the first flight tests and missions of the SpaceX Crew Dragon and Boeing CST-100 Starliner on 3 August 2018. Astronauts Flying Boeing’s Crew Flight Test: Eric Boe, Chris Ferguson and Nicole Aunapu Mann. Astronauts Flying SpaceX’s Demo-2: Bob Behnken and Doug Hurley. Astronauts Assigned to Boeing’s First Mission: Josh Cassada and Suni Williams. Astronauts Assigned to SpaceX’s First Mission: Victor Glover and Mike Hopkins. The first crewed launches are currently targeted for April 2019 (SpaceX Demo-2) and mid-2019 (Boeing Crew Flight Test).
