The past of the Buckley dial is filled with the dispute about its looks, this is both the origin of its name and the reason why the dials is rare today. Many people hated it, few loved it and because of one avid supporter, John Buckley, the dial received its lasting name. Nonetheless the dial never became a very sales hit and because of that finding a good vintage Buckley dial watch today is harder than one might think.
