Dortmund is an independent city located in the east of the Ruhr area, one of the largest urban areas in Europe comprising eleven independent cities and four districts with some 5.3 million inhabitants.

Dortmund is known for football as the city is home to the Borussia Dortmund football (soccer) team. Dortmund is located in Germany’s North Rhine-Westphalia region and is the largest city in the Ruhrgebiet.

The tour continues to the city garden (Stadtgarten) with the nearby city hall before we return to the center and train station.
