You did it WHERE?! | Printing 'ACHERON' | My Dark Method

This all took place in a laundry room as I fought the deadline to be part of the Arizona Photography Alliance 2023 Members' Exhibition in Phoenix, AZ. You don't need much. Join Leia and I as I pull a traditional silver-gelatin photograph from an 8x10 negative inside an impromptu darkroom with the "Pork Chop"; a self-designed and built semi-cold cathode LED print head. After the wind chased us out of the Rio Puerco Valley (https://youtu.be/uVRhpYtlYTM) we booked a cheap last minute apartment in Albuquerque to print his photograph.

***NOTE*** As shown in the episode the paper used is Ilford Warm Tone 8x10. After printing I evaluated the dried and toned (Selenium) print and determined that even with the #5 contrast filter the overall contrast was lacking. The final print was ultimately printed on Ilford RC Glossy 8x10 as this provide much needed contrast.
