Stringing Beads with Tiny Holes - Jewelry Tutorial

Stone beads come in strands - temporarily strung with cotton string. When you want to restring the tiny ones (either 2mm or larger, but drilled with tiny holes), you can use SoftTouch very fine beading wire – it was made for beads with tiny holes!

This same tip applies if you’re using a needle. Instead of unstringing the beads, have the beading wire (or needle) laying within the cotton thread, or just about, and slide groups of beads onto to the stringing material.

If the thread plus wire (or needle) is too thick to slide across, you can also hold onto the beads, then remove the string with the other hand, holding the row of beads as straight as possible. Then use the beading wire (or needle) to thread groups of beads at a time. The trick is to not shift the beads while in hand – keep the holes aligned for easy re-threading.
