In this video I discuss the current inter island ferry situation in NZ. The previous Labour government had ordered brand new large ferries as the current ferries are becoming a danger to human life. Unfortunately, the National government decided to pull the plug on that project and instead decided to use the funds for other things, including giving landlords a tax break. They had no plan, but quickly realize they needed one. Now they are desperately trying to get a replacement but the costings have not been released.
