LNER Class 43 Farewell - Lets go round again | The final HST out of London Kings Cross - 21.12.19

The end of another era. After over 40 years of service, LNER would bid farewell to their Class 43 HST's, concluding with a final railtour lasting 4 days titled "Lets go round again".

Having travelled from Edinburgh to Inverness and back down to Leeds, today would be the final day where the HST would head to London Kings Cross. We see the train nearing the end of its 4 day trip at Hadley Wood, at the last minute switched onto the slow resulting in us moving onto the fast line platforms, giving us a great performance with a huge amount of tones!
Following this we headed to the cross where as expected there were huge crowds out to see the final HST out the cross. Following getting some still shots and photo's, the HST bids farewell to the London terminus, as it departs to head back towards Scotland for storage, once again with plenty of tones.
