‘Worrying time’: ASIO warns nation of inflaming tensions in the Middle East
ASIO Director-General Mike Burgess has warned Australia of the concerns over inflaming tension in the Middle East.
“It's a worrying time in the world,” said Sky News Political Editor Andrew Clennell.
“I've certainly heard reports of Jewish people being threatened and harassed in Sydney's eastern suburbs and several reports to police about this.”
According to Mr Clennell, Industry Minister Ed Husic spoke to the ABC on Thursday raising concerns Palestinians are being killed and it is not being acknowledged.
The minister’s concerns have also been backed by Early Childhood Education Minister Anne Aly.
