In this video we made delicious mutton karahi with home ground spices

Recipe of mutton karahi

Mutton pieces 2 lbs
Tomatoes 5 without seeds make big chunks of them
Ginger 7 pieces julienne cut for karahi + more 4 pieces to garnish it
Sliced onion 1 medium sized
Extra virgin olive oil 1/3 cup
Turmeric 1/4 tsp
Garam masala powder 1/4 tsp
Cumin powder 1 tsp
Cumin seeds 1 tsp
Dried fenugreek leaves ( sookhi methi) 1 tsp
Salt 1 tsp
Coriander powder 1 tsp
Black pepper powder 1/8 tsp
Red chili powder 1 tsp
Carom powder (ajwain) 1/4 tsp

To Garnish Karahi
Cilantro leaves 2 tbs
3 whole green chilies
4 strips of ginger

Method
In a dry cooking pan add olive oil and sliced onion. Fry them for 1 minute on medium high flame( don’t make them brown in color)then take them out of the oil and add mutton pieces in pan. Keep the flame medium high and fry them for 3 minutes then add fried onions back in pan, also add all ingredients of making karahi. Mix everything on high flame for 1 minute then cover it and let the steam starts to begin in the pan. Now keep the flame medium low and cook it for 85 minutes. Tomatoes will release their juices which will help mutton to become tender. Stir it once while cooking . After 85 minutes of cooking take off the lid and cook it for 5 minutes on medium high flame. Delicious Mutton Karahi is ready Alhamdolila, garnish it with cilantro leaves, green chilies and ginger pieces. Enjoy ❤️
