The Byre and Bard in the Botanics have reunited (at a safe distance) to bring you the spirit of the season in the form of a splendid wee, short film. Available online, here and on social media from Friday 4 December.

When Bruce the Goose wakes up to find that Fantasia isn’t quite as festive as usual… there’s only one thing to do. Find Mammy and Little Red and sort this out!

Maybe they do, maybe they don’t. But they find out that happy ever afters don’t always look like you’d expect.

The film features Byre panto regulars (in order of appearance):
Robert Elkin as Bruce the Goose
Stephanie McGregor as Little Red Riding Hood
Alan Steele as Mother Goose
Stephen Arden as the Snow Queen
(with a special appearance by Gordon ‘blink and you’ll miss him’ Barr)

Mammy Goose and the Missing Christmas is written and directed by Gordon Barr, produced by Bard in the Botanics and filmed by Twin City Pictures on location at Glasgow Botanic Gardens, in accordance with Covid-19 guidance, to keep Mammy, her family and even the Snow Queen safe.
