The Friendly Sons of St Patrick Parade

Mobile, AL celebrates St Patrick’s Day with an organization, “The Friendly Sons of St. Patrick. They start with a Flag Ceremony then head to the Cathedral for a Catholic Mass celebration of the life of St Patrick with Archbishop Rodi. This has been the traditions throughout the years with other Archbishops too. At the end of Mass before the start of the parade, The Catholic High School, “McGill-Toolen Marching band performs Tommy Boy and another song. Then the parade starts down the streets in downtown Mobile. After the parade the friendly sons head out to Callaghans Irish Social Club to “drown the shamrocks”.
