Self-service visitor reception for in-person Microsoft Bookings appointments using Power Platform

The Microsoft Bookings app automates your appointment bookings and gives your customers or other users a self-service mechanism for managing their appointments with you as part of your Microsoft 365 subscription. But for those who use Bookings to manage in-person appointments, it would be great if self-service could extend to the reception experience instead of having to deploy an alternative guest book app to manage visitor sign in.

In this video we overview how to build a Power Apps canvas app that uses Power Automate to interface with Microsoft Bookings through the Microsoft Graph API and a Power Automate custom connector. We then notify the host of the guest using Teams and the data already captured in Bookings, the visitor just needs to enter their email address to get started.
