Carrión de los Condes - Ledigos - Sahagún | Camino de Santiago
Camino de Santiago // Day 19 - 20 - 21
This was the day I didn't wake up. I didn't wake up because I never went to sleep. I spent the entire night going through the motions of a violent stomach bug. Desperately running through the dorm room to the bathroom & clutching onto the toilet rim just in time before roaring with every ounce of energy I had into the bowl. Then returning to the dorm room to lay down without doubt that another bout was on its way.
After getting some medicine with the help of Nuncia, who's son was also sick, we checked into a hotel and got some rest. I sure needed it as I felt as if I'd been hit by a truck!
The following day we decided to take a taxi to the next town as we didn't want to risk me falling down in a 17km stretch of nothingness. We arrived at the next town and walked 6km to the following town, Ledigos. Once arriving, we organised a private room. Luckily, because Char ended up being sick later that day.
The next day we woke to find that another night wasn't possible in Ledigos. So we booked another hotel and a taxi to Sahagún. Upon arriving in Sahagún we are faced with another dilemma which, as the Camino quite often does, turns into a wonderful opportunity.
