NCL Cruise Excursion to Dawes Glacier, Endicott Arm, Alaska

While some cruise ships can get close to the glaciers, often they will cancel some areas or not be able to get very close. It matters how heavy the ice flow is or how confident the caption fells.
On this cruise we decided to take a excursion that boarded ticket holders right off the ship in Juno and headed for the glacier, about an hour or two before the ship followed us. The ship held back about a mile from the glacier, so this worked out great for us.
Not all ships offer this excursion. Check ahead of time.
There may also be tours directly from Juneau and other ports but most will not link up with the ship.
