島根県　経島のウミネコ繁殖地のヒナの様子です。
2019年で今年は過去5年で一番ヒナの数が多いそうです。
500羽以上のヒナと150個の卵が確認されています。
しかし、生き残れるのは3割です。
過酷な運命が待っているのです。

ヒナの死亡理由のいくつかをあげてみたいと思います。
①迷子になって他の親鳥に殺される
②兄弟から攻撃される（生存競争のため）
③トビにさらわれる（カラス）
④暴風雨にて体温低下など
