'Israel's Iron Dome SWATS Hamas Rockets Above Gaza Strip as UN Warns of 'Full-Scale War''

Israeli jets and Hamas militants have traded missile strikes for a second consecutive night in the Gaza Strip.

Israel's Iron Dome defence system was able to intercept the majority of the Palestinian militants' rockets, though some managed to hit their target, claiming six Israeli lives.

In Gaza City, Israeli air strikes brought down a tower block, taking the death toll in the Gaza Strip to at least 48.

The UN is warning the conflict could descend into "full-scale war" if efforts are not made to broker peace.
