Shallow M6.0 Earthquake hits Afghanistan causing Widespread Devastation

After the Sun went down on August 31st of 2025 a powerful magnitude 6 earthquake ruptured underneath the nearby mountains of Jalalabad, causing widespread death and destruction. Two magnitude 5.2 aftershocks struck quickly afterwards, as well as lesser magnitude quakes. Geophysicist Stefan Burns reports
