GREEN4VIP Video tutorial N° 2 – Waste management: inclusive waste containers

In this video tutorial, developed within the framework of the GREEN4VIP Erasmus+ project (2022-1-IT02-KA220-SCH-000086906), we will learn how to create accessible-to-visually impaired kids trash containers. Through the use of different tactile materials, this video tutorial will help kindergarten teachers to create trash containers useful to carry out separate waste collection in an inclusive way. The use of different geometric figures to mark each trash container, lays ALSO the first foundations for the kids’ knowledge of geometry.
This video tutorial is audiodescribed to be accessible to visually impaired people. It is complementary to the Inclusive Toolbox for VIP, a practical handbook for pre-school teachers aimed at providing them step-by-step instructions on how to implement environmental education workshops based on STEAM approaches for kids aged 3-5 with a special regard on the participation in the workshops of blind and partially sighted kids.
