LIVE EDGE SIDE TABLE BUILD

Here is a different project! I got a hold of a "cookie" or a slice of a cherry tree and decided to make a side table with it. A lot of sanding to get it relatively level. Afterwards I show the steps to inlay a bowtie to hold the main crack in place, then filled it all with blue tinted epoxy. Many coats of teak oil brought out the beautiful color of the cherry and then 3 top coats of polyurethane to protect the table from damage. All in all a fun project and more carpentry than the usual builds.
