Hooman Azad - Grey Box Modelling

Hooman Azad from the ERBE CDT presents his work on 'Evaluating the descriptive and predictive ability of the grey-box modelling technique in low-energy buildings, characterized by low thermal fluctuations and mixed ventilation strategies, in the UK.'

Hooman is a PhD student at Loughborough University under the ERBE CDT with a background in HVAC and mechanical engineering. During his MSc, Hooman worked on concentrating parabolic collectors integrated with a hot water cylinder for solar water and space heating applications which was continued and resulted in three adjacent publications.
Since moving to the ERBE CDT, Hooman found a passion for data driven models and physics simulation models leading to a combination of both through grey-box modelling.
