The Pound Cake "King"

This is a good tasting pound cake and so easy you won't believe it. It's the king of Pound Cakes! Crunch on the outside and a smooth velvet inside...just so perfect and so easy! Use AT LEAST a 14 cup bundt or tube pan. The recipe is in the SHOW MORE section below:

3 cups all purpose flour...sifted
3 cups of granulated sugar
1-1/2 cups shortening (room temperature)
1 cup sour cream (room temperature)******AFTER REVIEWING MONROE'S CHANNEL AGAIN, I FOUND THERE IS NO SOUR CREAM IN HIS RECIPE. I ACCIDENTALLY MISTOOK THE CRISCO SHORTENING FOR SOUR CREAM AND ADDED IT TO MINE. PLEASE DO NOT ADD SOUR CREAM TO THE CAKE RECIPE LIKE I DID IN MY VIDEO. THERE IS A CHANCE OF FAILURE IF YOU DO. I'M SO SORRY FOR THIS ERROR!
1/2 to 1 tsp. salt
9 large or extra large eggs - beaten first and room temperature
1/2 tsp. lemon extract--that's what he used. I used 1 tsp EACH of lemon, vanilla and 1/2 tsp. almond extracts.
Dump ALL ingredients into a mixing bowl together at the same time and if using a STAND MIXER, beat about 10 to 12 minutes on 4 speed (medium low)
If using a HAND MIXER, use a low medium speed and beat 15 to 20 minutes. I'd say closer to 20 minutes.
Grease & flour either a bundt or tube pan.

Preheat your oven to 300 degrees Fahrenheit

Pour pound cake batter in your tube or bundt pan and bake at 300 degrees F for about 1 hr. and 20 minutes or until a tester comes out clean. Let cool in pan 10 minutes before you turn it out. Enjoy!!
