The watch market has had quite a run the last few years. Luxury watch brands such as Patek, Rolex, Audemars Piguet, Omega, and others have increased in value considerably. Additionally, many new watch collectors have begun to branch away from these core watch brands and into lesser-focused brands. Think FP Journe, ALS, JLC, and others.

Though, with the recent economic pullback, there has been a bit of a watch market crash. Watch prices have decreased in value. It has not been Rolex, there have been other watches added to this sentiment.

While watches can sometimes deliver favorable returns and increase in value, it is generally advised to treat watches as a hobby from a watch collector perspective.

In this video Federico Talks Watches and I discuss some qualities that make a watch likely to hold value, or at least increase in value once a potential recession has been recovered from.
