Everyone wishes for bright and clear skin. For several people opt for bleaching to lighten their skin. However, that's not it. People bleach their skin for plenty of reasons. While somedo it to hide their facial hair, others do it to lighten the spots and discolourations on the skin. If you're planning on bleaching your face, here are a few do's and don’ts to keep in mind.

Do's
To get rid of the dirt or oil on the face you should clean your face properly before bleaching. Otherwise the oil will cause the bleach to slide off from the face.
Tie your hair into a bun or a ponytail and if you have fringes, keep them away from your face using a hair band so that you accidently don’t bleach your hair.
Carefully follow the instructions, mix the bleaching powder and activator in the right proportion.
Do a patch test before using the product on your whole face, especially if you have sensitive skin.
Use a spatula or a brush to apply the bleach on your face. Do not use your fingers as they contain germs.
Bleach your skin in the night as you can apply a moisturising and soothing serum or gel for it to work on the skin while you’re asleep. It alsohelps heal the skin, if needed.
Another reason to bleach before the bedtime is that you wouldn’t have to go out in the sun after bleaching.
Don’ts
Do not mix the contents of the bleach in a metal container. The metal will react with the chemicals in the bleach which might have a reaction on your skin. Using a glass bowl is preferable.
Do not apply the bleach on the sensitive areas for your face especially around the eyes, lips, and nose area. It may cause rashes.
NEVER step out in the sun immediately after bleaching. Bleaching makes the skin sensitive and sun rays can aggravate the sensitivity.
Do not apply the bleach on your wounds and acne. Leave those areas and apply the bleach on the rest of the face.
